We ask that you have your Bible with you while studying so you may search the scriptures and see for yourself what is proclaimed from the word of God.
In Hebrew the word Sheol is used to describe the place of the dead. Below is the definition of that word:
Sheol (????, Sh'ol) is the "abode of the dead", the "underworld", "the common grave of humankind" or "pit". [1] In the Bible, it is a place where both the bad and the good, slave and king, pious and wicked must go at the point of death.[2] Sheol is the common destination of both the righteous and the unrighteous dead, as recounted in Ecclesiastes and Job.
When translated from Hebrew to Latin, some verses that used the word Sheol were substituted with the word Hell in its place. In the Bible when the word hell is used it may also take on the meaning of the grave. In Revelation 20:14, it states that both death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire, one might ask how can you put Hell into Hell? That particular verse is refering to the grave or pit that all mankind goes into. The following verses that use the word Hell in refernece to the grave will be marked with an asterisk.

We hope that you have come to a better understanding of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is the inspired word of God and was given as a light unto our paths for all who should seek him. The Bible is harmonious from the beginning to the end. The Old and New Testaments are solidified together in their message for God’s people. And perfectly reflect the plan of salvation for all mankind. God desires that we study the scriptures as someone who would seek for hidden treasures.
The Bible does not contradict itself nor is it designed to be given over to any private interpretations. It is the Bible and the Bible only! If you are unable to defend your beliefs with an “It is written” from the word of God, then perhaps a deeper searching is required to lead you into a greater light of truth. There are many teachings and beliefs that are held to as though they came from the Bible. Peter warns that there will be those that are “unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” 2 Peter 3:16
Jesus warns “in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:9. What the Bible teaches is more important than anything else. If what your pastor, priest, friends or family tell you contradicts what is written in the word of God, search the scriptures and “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. You are responsible for whom you will follow.
It is you and I that will stand alone before God on the great Day of Judgment to give account of our works. Don’t let someone else tell you what the Bible says, find out for yourself and then share the truth with others. We encourage you to ask questions to your pastor, priests, and friends, and have them show you from the Bible another truth contained there in. No where in the Bible does it say at the moment of death your spirit goes to Heaven or Hell or Purgatory. Search the scriptures and prove them, don’t rely on someone else telling you what is in the Bible, discover the truth and make a stand for it.
